Heating and Air Conditioning Installations
If you have an older furnace, it’s an excellent time to replace it. Modern furnaces are more efficient than ever, and there are high-efficiency configurations available as well. Some of those models have multistage and variable-speed blowers. Those ramp up and down as needed rather than run at a constant speed. There are also condensing furnaces that limit heat waste when venting gases out of the home.
An alternative option is hybrid heating, which pairs a mid-efficiency furnace and heat pump. A heat pump is like an air conditioner that can furnish heating, too. Most of the time, the heat provided is much cheaper than the heat from a furnace. There does come a point in cold weather at which a heat pump isn’t as efficient. When the temperature reaches that point, the furnace will provide the heating instead.
